The company inno-spec GmbH concentrates on the market of optical multichannel spectrometer technology with the diversity of its products.

The building blocks of this technology are permanently adjusted, thermally stable, and compactly constructed diffraction components coupled with the corresponding multichannel photo sensors and sensor electronics. These assemblies defined as spectrometer modules are implemented for applications from UV to NIR (190 to 2500 nm).

The respective spectral performance is realised according to the application by means of a suitable combination of optical gratings, slits, and sensor technologies.

Miniaturised Czerny-Turner spectrometer module model series CT75

A large selection of optical plane gratings (300 to 3600 l/mm) paired with CCD linear sensor and slit widths of 10 to 100 µm make it possible to construct high-quality low-cost spectrometer modules. By means of the simple possibility to combine, a multiplicity of different work areas arise in the spectral range of 190 to 1100 nm, with spectral resolutions of up to 0.04 nm (FWHM). Through the use of a Back-Thinned surface sensor, spectrometers with exceptional UV characteristics and high overall sensitivity result. A SMA fibre input optimises the usability. A shutter at the light input is offered as an option.

Concave grating spectrometer module model series MS140

An 140 mm flat-field construction without additional light diversion and multiple concave gratings available, make this spectrometer module in combination with PDA and (Back-Thinned) CCD sensors  the preferred system for demanding applications of 190 to 1100 nm. A SMA fibre shape converter guarantees the wide-area illumination of the concave grating.  An integrated shutter and sensor cooling are optional available.

Transmission grating spectrometer module model series MST-IGA

A 50 mm transmission construction with multiple types of VPH transmission gratings make this spectrometer module in combination with InGaAs sensors the preferred system for demanding NIR applications up to 2500 nm. A SMA fibre input with integrated shutter as well as a sensor cooling up to -40°C complete this model series.

Imaging spectrometer module model series IST

Based on the transmission system different imaging spectrograph modules for hyperspectral imaging applications are available. The combination of highly efficient VPH gratings, special optics and CCD, CMOS or InGaAs focal plane array sensors, make this construction a high-performance spectrometer module for demanding imaging applications up to 2500 nm. Depending on the application different wavelength ranges, resolutions and customer-specific developments can be achieved. The IST-series have a C-Mount lens adapter at the light entrance side of the spectrograph. For the use of external cameras, the spectrograph can also be manufactured with a C-mount adapter at the light output or with customer specific mountings.

The right operational electronics for all spectrometer modules

For the operation of all spectrometer modules, intelligent operational electronics with an Ethernet interface were developed. An Ethernet data connection is the superior solution for spectrometer systems in industry and research. Ethernet data links enable measurement operation via existing data networks. The restrictions of cable lengths can also be neglected with this technology.

Controlling the sensors and the measurement processing is performed by 32-bit microcontroller electronic with integrated data processing. In addition to automated background correction, the wavelengths and absolute calibrations are permanently stored in the memory of the electronic.
The spectrometer operational electronics are completed with multiple Analog Digital Converter modules to choose from featuring analogue multiplex functions. For InGaAs and backthinned sensors the system is completed by a sensor cooling electronic.

Technically-mature housing concepts for lab and raw industrial use

Our compact spectrometers are created by means of the combination of a spectrometer module with the operational electronics and installation in selected housings. Compact lab spectrometers have 19" table housings with changeable cassettes for the simple configuration with the respective applications. In order to be able to implement compact spectrometers at the application site, these industrial systems are realised in highly compact metal housings with an IP-65 construction. For special applications in the area of industry, high-grade steel housings and external protective housings can be provided upon request.

In order to realise measurement solutions, various measuring probes and measurement equipment is provided. For measurement solutions directly at the application site, the integration of compact spectrometer and a measuring probe is recommended. As a result, recurrent problems with fibre optic connections, which restrict the system calibration as well as the operating safety of the systems are eliminated.

This is accompanied with measurement software that suits you and your application

A simple basic measurement program for Windows 2000, NT, XP and Vista with all important spectrometer functions and measurement data conversion to ASCII, JCAMP, and GRAMS is provided free of charge for all systems.

GRAMS users have the possibility to transfer and evaluate measurement data in "GRAMS 32" with the basic measurement program.

With the function libraries under C/C+ and LabView, creating your own program packages is no problem at all.

For advanced users, a modular spectrometer analysis program is offered. This program is initially provided with a few basic modules and can be expanded with Colorimetrics, Chemometrics, the IR analysis library and a search module, into a complete professional program.
